Our goal at the Short Break and Outreach Service is to foster an atmosphere where our children and young people feel valued, supported, and empowered. Our top priority is making sure that every child and adolescent has their needs met and that their voice is heard.
We work to give our families the confidence to ask for support, advice, and assistance knowing that we will listen, understand, and care.
Through play, we encourage and assist children and young people in their physical, emotional, and social development. The inclusive activities all support the growth of social, practical, and communicative abilities. Regardless of need, need for assistance, colour, ethnicity, or gender, everyone feels supported and respected as a member of our community in an open, honest, and transparent atmosphere.
In its most basic form, all kids and teenagers, in our opinion, require a box to stand on in order to see over the fence. Our responsibility as specialists is to make sure that we enable them to determine the width, colour, and size of the box that they require. As a service, we take great satisfaction in letting kids and teenagers forge their own paths and celebrating their originality and uniqueness.
We support each person's growth at their own rate and acknowledge that even modest successes are nonetheless victories.
We perceive opportunities rather than difficulties. Our children and young people have a lot more opportunity if we concentrate on the possibilities.
