The Peterborough School is deeply devoted to providing an atmosphere that inspires students to maximise their potential and fully develop their talents and abilities in order to satisfy the educational needs of each and every one of our students. We received the NACE (National Association for Able Children in Education) Challenge Award in June 2013 and again in 2017, which attests to the fact that we cater to our highly gifted students at the highest level.
Create a supportive environment where the most gifted students can be stretched to their limits and be able to accept both success and failure.
Permit students to take use of learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom to further inspire their imagination and enthusiasm for learning.
To make individuals who are capable, gifted, and talented feel at ease and confident, cultivate an environment where academic success is recognised as the norm.
Each year, teachers compile and update a list of students who exhibit a specific ability, gift, or talent within their subject area of instruction or across a range of talents. This is accomplished utilising subject-specific criteria, which helps to ensure that decisions are as solid as feasible. This decision will be communicated to parents in writing or at a parental consultation event. This will provide an additional opportunity to talk about a student's unique abilities and how they can be developed both within and outside of the classroom.
