Our goal is to raise the bar for both quality and aesthetics.
When my oldest daughter Amy, who was 2 at the time, enrolled in the neighbourhood Montessori Nursery,
Within weeks, she was thriving, and I saw an astonishing transformation.
It was a life-changing experience for me that, years later, led to a protracted period of retraining and pursuing the dream of starting my own business.
The Pelican Nursery began operations in 2007 with just two eager toddlers and has now expanded to include more than 90 kids at its two locations. Over the years, we have worked with the kids of hundreds of neighbourhood families, giving us the amazing chance to share with their parents the joys and difficulties that having a baby or young children may bring.
Being a family-owned business, that factor is very important to us.
In addition, our name comes from our family. The pelican is one of the most guarding birds in mythology.
It also appears in the symbolism of our own family, as a mother pelican guards the family crest.
The success of what we accomplish depends heavily on the staff team. We've always believed that the calibre of our team helps us to be the kind of nursery we had in mind when we first started.
We put a lot of effort into ensuring that the diverse personalities and skills of everyone who works here mesh to create a safe, joyful, and stimulating atmosphere. We have a highly qualified crew.
