From the The Park Neighbourhood Nursery
The Nursery is housed in a big, light-filled Victorian school building. As a self-supporting nonprofit, The Nursery was founded in 2004 as a part of the Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative. A committee of locals requested for funds from the National Lottery to establish up the Nursery and hire a Management Team to oversee the initiative in order to offer the community a high quality affordable service. The Nursery is being run by the same seasoned and highly competent Management Team, who also routinely meet with the committee. The Nursery regularly holds fundraisers to gather additional funds for significant projects like the garden area.
