The Heathers Nursery

We are a community nursery, and the elected committee of parents who administer and oversee the sessions hires the staff.
The nursery is registered with The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) for up to 22 children per session per room, between the ages of 2 years 6 months and 5 years, and operates in a mobile and in a classroom within Heather Avenue Infant School.
Working within the Early Years Foundation Stage, a framework focused on play that recognises that every child is unique and that they learn and develop at various rates and in different ways, the nursery seeks to give your child a fun nursery experience.
Children grow physically, cognitively, and socially in the Nursery through play and contact with other children and professionals in a stimulating and enjoyable environment.
The nursery follows the recommendations of one adult for every four children under the age of three and one adult for every eight children over the age of three throughout each session.
