We are a nonprofit preschool for children ages three to four.
Only during term time are we open, Monday through Friday (38 weeks per year).
On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, we also provide a lunch club so that kids may remain all day (currently full).
Our goal is to provide strong foundations in a welcoming, family-oriented environment where kids and parents feel appreciated.
You can be sure that there will be plenty of challenging, enjoyable activities at The Greenwood Pre-School to inspire and grow the children in our care, from a warm welcome to a joyful farewell.
A registered charity, The Greenwood Pre-School is managed by Trustees and a Committee. It is a typical pre-school that strives to provide for all of the children in its care in a safe, joyful, and secure environment, regardless of their sex, ethnicity, religion, or ability, in line with their developmental stage. In order to support children's learning and development, we collaborate with parents.
Young children learn and develop via doing and talking while they are active and playing. Children acquire the ability to think critically and comprehend their surroundings in this way. We develop and offer opportunities that will support children in moving forward in all areas of learning using the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory guidance on educational programmes. This curriculum consists of a blend of activities that teachers design and supervise as well as activities that students plan and organise themselves.
