Two preschools called The Beehive Montessori are managed by Annette Eyre and Jan Driver. The Beehive at Shalden is located in the village hall of Shalden, Hampshire, only two miles northwest of Alton and conveniently close to the A339 and B3349. Founded in 1990 and run since 2005 by Jan and Annette. The Beehive at Lindford is a brand-new preschool in the centre of the Lindford neighbourhood, located in the village hall. We are a small, welcoming, Montessori Pre-School that provides children with a safe foundation for their early social and intellectual requirements. Our students range in age from 2 to 5 years. We seek to combine the most beneficial elements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidance (EYFS) with the best features of the Montessori approach in order to provide a nurturing, laid-back environment that fosters confidence and independence. Each child can advance in accordance with their unique developmental talents. We are licenced to provide universal 15 hours of free childcare per week beginning in the term after a kid turns three. Now providing up to 30 hours for free, pending eligibility and availability. We have also applied for a two-year grant for kids who qualify. In June 2015, Ofsted awarded the Beehive Montessori in Shalden an excellent rating.
