At Thames Pre-school, we want to give your child the best start in life possible by building on their interests and experiences. Through a play-based and kid-led curriculum of activities, we adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
It varies! Based on the kids' interests, we design adult-led activities for each week. On the other hand, if it has rained, we might go outside and enjoy jumping in puddles. If one of our kids has said how much they enjoyed a family wedding, we might recreate the event, create a model cake out of garbage, and bake some wedding cupcakes. The possibilities are numerous and limitless.
We are aware that children learn best when they are interested and involved; it is our role to build on this understanding by enhancing their experiences, knowledge, and abilities.
With the help of this strategy, we can encourage kids at Thames to gain confidence and independence—not just for the start of school, but for the rest of their lives.
