We understand that deciding on an appropriate childcare establishment for your child is an important decision.
We want all families to feel confident in the nursery before leaving your child and have in place a standard package and more settling in sessions can be added if needed, however as each child is individual we are happy to offer flexibility to met you and your child's needs.
We work closely with parents/carers and we believe that continuity of care is of the utmost importance.
You will soon know the staff by name but to assist you in the early weeks you will see the staff pictures and names displayed in the hall.
We feel old clothes are more appropriate for your child to wear to nursery as it is impossible for us, however hard we try to always avoid paint and mud etc.
Please provide a change of clothes for such times.
Nappy Changing facilities are available at the nursery; we will dispose of any nappy waste hygienically.
Please let us know when you are preparing your child for potty training, we will be more than happy to support you and your child in this very important next step.
Rest areas are provided, with options for how you may wish your child to sleep.
Each child will have its own bedding provided by the nursery.
Medicines may be administered as long as they have been prescribed by a doctor or a medical professional.
A medication form will need to be completed for each occasion; we are happy to support you in the management of ongoing medical issues and can arrange an opportunity to discuss your child's needs.
Your child will not be able to stay at the nursery if they are unwell.
We understand that children under the age of 2 have varying food preparation requirements and are happy to ensure your child's needs are met and progressed as and when agreed.

We are working as a setting to promote excellent Oral hygiene in the early years at sunflowers we are developing a three tier approach to this work by-.
*Supporting families and children to register with a Dentist and attend regularly.
A reading list of age appropriate books about visiting the dentist and keeping our teeth clean is available.
