At Sunflowers Nursery we provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
To provide high quality flexible day care where parents can be confident that they are leaving their child in a safe, friendly environment.
To ensure that the training needs of all our staff are assessed and met by providing regular supervisions, appraisals and providing training opportunities where appropriate.
Nearly all nursery staff are Level 3 qualified or above, all are police checked (DBS) and have training in first aid, safeguarding, basic food hygiene.
Our Mini Pre-School is located within the main building and our Big Pre-School is a short walk down the road.
You are welcome to phone or visit the nursery at any time.
Each day we complete day sheets which detail your child's day at nursery.
We hold parents information evenings & various meetings with staff to keep you up to date with your child's development.
We use Tapestry - an online learning journal which allows you to track you child's progress across the seven areas of learning and development.
Before your child starts at Sunflowers it is important that they settle into nursery and get to know their key worker.
To facilitate this we will arrange for you to bring your child to the nursery for three 'settling in' visits.
This will enable you and your child to become confident and familiar with staff and the other children, as well as the daily routines of nursery.
Whilst at nursery your child is encouraged to eat our healthy, home cooked meals prepared at our premises.
