Summerfields Nursery

We give kids the chance to cast ballots for their favourite activities, such as choosing a theme for their role-play, a book for story time, or a song for song time.
By, for instance, choosing topics and activities based on the interests of the kids, we help kids understand that their ideas matter and are significant.
We collaborate to establish a setting where it is okay to make errors, exchange perspectives, and consider alternative courses of action, for example by encouraging forgiveness after a disagreement.
Children participate in the creation of any of our nursery's Golden Rules.
We want them to understand the distinction between good and wrong.
We talk about the rationale behind our Golden Rules and how they ought to be enforced equally in order to keep everyone secure and content.
Through play, we provide people the chance to take on risks, difficulties, and responsibilities.
We encourage kids to talk to their keypeople and other people they trust about their feelings, thoughts, and ideas.
We give them the tools they need to pursue and expand their own interests and concepts.
Children are urged to ask questions and to have faith that their thoughts and opinions will be acknowledged and cherished.
Through local excursions, cultural days, and national holidays, for example, we encourage kids to learn about their local and wider communities.
We all work together to foster an environment that respects, embraces, and supports various races, ethnicities, and worldviews.
We urge the kids to talk about their experiences and to see how they and other people are similar and different from one another.
