For information about our end-of-term party, the Nativity, and other general topics, please visit the newsletter. Since September 1965, St. John's Nursery Playgroup has met in St. John's Methodist Church, providing high-quality education and care for close to 50 years.
As a result, we had to re-register with Ofsted as a "new" setting with a new number since the Playgroup has been formally recognised by Ofsted as being a part of the St. John's Methodist Church Charity since September 2016. (EY538418).
We were given a Good rating by Ofsted in July 2016 under our previous Ofsted number of 130591.
Under our new registration number EY538418, we were rated Good by Ofsted in September 2018.
Since joining the Early Years Alliance many years ago, St. John's Nursery Playgroup has benefited from their knowledge of young children.
As one of only a handful of preschools in Hertfordshire, St. John's has joined the Eat Better Start Better Project.
St. John's Nursery Playgroup will help all children begin their individual journeys as self-assured, autonomous, and lifelong learners by working in partnership with parents and caregivers to realise our vision of being recognised as offering an outstanding service to the community it serves.
For kids who aren't yet legally required to attend school, we offer excellent care and educational opportunities through play.
In order to support children's learning and development, we collaborate with parents.
