At St. Cuthberts Early Years Centre, we make sure that every child, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, receives high-quality education and care that is trustworthy, compassionate, and responsive, within a language-rich environment, where they have a sense of belonging and respect, so that both kids and parents feel like they have an extended supportive family where they can be their authentic selves and create lifelong memories.
To help the kids learn how to self-regulate and be confident communicators with good listening and attention skills, our curriculum changes and builds from the baby room to the toddler room and finally the pre-school room. '
Practitioners respond to each baby as they make attempts at communication, as they explore and play in accordance with their interests, and it is only when the babies demonstrate a sense of security, happiness, and calmness that the practitioners start implementing Physical Babies, a holistic development programme designed specifically for infants.
Our curriculum is driven by a love for supporting young children's language development in rich communication and language contexts.
Early detection of toddlers who are not making the greatest progress they are capable of is crucial to their future success in school. Children in the toddler room will have their statutory check at the age of two, and this check is very essential in identifying children who may require more support.
