The 21-space Sprat and Winkle Day Nursery is a custom establishment located at The Pavilion on Wherwell Playing Fields in a lovely open location.
We accept kids aged three months to five years, and we offer Key Stage 2 students an extended school holiday programme.
Our goal is to give young children a nurturing and comprehensive early education experience.
Along with adhering to the EYFS, we also include wellness activities like yoga and forest school in our daily curriculum.
Our goal is to support children in learning self-regulation skills, in taking healthy risks, and in cultivating a good attitude toward failure.
By embodying these skills into our core teaching, we aim to empower children with self-help skills and enable each child to feel confident, challenged, successful and to gain high self-esteem.
The emphasis in our joyful, secure, and stimulating environment is on learning through play.
We aim to educate children in a greener way of life, to ensure we have children who understand the need for sustainability and who care for our planet and know how to achieve this in everyday life.
Our inspiration comes from the Reggio Emilia and Te Whariki teaching philosophies as well as a forest school ethos.
All of these instructional approaches encourage a love of family, friends, and the environment and involve sustainable learning using low-tech, organic materials.
