A pre-school setting for kids in and around the parish of Shelswell in central Oxfordshire is called the Shelswell & Fringford Playgroup. We are a nonprofit organisation run by a committee of parent volunteers (Reg no: 1052801). The Early Years team at Oxfordshire County Council is here to help. We have a board of custodian trustees that meets at least twice a year to manage the building's long-term upkeep and the pre-function school's within the Shelswell benefice. After a child turns two years old, we accept them starting in the September, January, and April terms through the conclusion of the school year just before their fifth birthday (i.e., the end of July before they start their F1 (Reception) year). In addition to serving a number of nearby communities, we also gladly accept visitors from Bicester, a nearby market town. The Fringford Church of England School's grounds contain a semi-permanent single-story timber lodge that houses a playgroup and has ramp access. The building has a sizable playroom, kid-friendly restrooms, and a changing place for kids. With areas of covered timber decking, a freshly installed all-weather surface, fake grass, and a vegetable garden, our playgroup has a well-equipped outdoor space that allows kids to play freely. We also have a small wooded area next to the preschool where we take part in storytelling and environmental exploration. Our facility accommodates kids with special needs, and we work with outside organisations to make sure we have the right help when we need it.
