SCL At Tower Hill Primary School

The primary responsibilities of the governing body include establishing the school's strategic direction and progress, supporting and challenging the institution, and holding it accountable for the standards and level of education it provides. Two parent governors, eight co-opted governors, one local education authority (LEA) governor, one staff governor, and the head teacher make up the governing body. The governing board appoints co-opted governors and elects parent and staff governors.
The governing body is always interested in hearing from anyone who has concerns about the well-being of our school. You can leave voicemails or letters at the school office for either Owen Gardner, the chair of the governors, or the clerk to the governors.
The menu on the left allows you to obtain the most recent minutes of governing body meetings, and the school office can provide you with prior minutes upon request. The minutes may occasionally contain private information that is not made public.
The Full Governing Body of the Governors typically meets once per half-term, and there will also be meetings of the Finance and Personnel Committee and the Premises Committee at least once each term.
