Scl At Mayhill Junior School

The inhabitants of RAF Odiham as well as the nearby village community are served by the special school known as Mayhill.
We firmly think that in addition to achieving high academic standards, kids should treasure this sense of community and cultivate the emotional and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in the world of the future.
Through individualised instruction and project-based learning, our curriculum enhances students' skills, knowledge, and comprehension.
Children learn most effectively, in our opinion, when they are able to reflect on their own progress.
They can learn to base conscious decisions on these reflections the more they are able to reflect on how their mind functions.
And at Mayhill, we think it is our responsibility to support the development of these admirable traits and qualities along with the knowledge and comprehension of the curriculum.
Following study on essential employability abilities, the Mayhill habits were chosen.
After consultation with our parents, students, teachers, and governors, they were updated and altered in September 2018 to reflect the findings of the Young Enterprise Trust study (see attachment below).

The ability of our children to reflect, to question their acts, and to make deliberate judgments based on these is how we assess growth because it is not a finite thing.
