AHOEC's quality programme, Gold Standard, was created to go above and beyond the requirements of the LOtC Quality Badge, AAIAC AdventureMark, and AALA. The Gold Standard logo offers participants and clients reassurance by covering not just safety but also the calibre of service and instruction.
The process allows providers to concentrate on the quality of their overall offering, not just the delivery, because it focuses on nine areas. The self-evaluation step is one of Gold Standard's distinctive features. With the assistance of a mentor, providers complete a thorough Self Evaluation Form to test and evaluate every element of their work. This is a really useful tool for both staff development and the organisation. A site visit and actual examination of the provision are then conducted using the SEF as a guide. The Gold Standard procedure is the most extensive and all-encompassing quality assessment accessible to outdoor learning providers. Successful candidates instantly qualify for the AdventureMark and LOtC Quality Badge.
