The St Johns Community Center was replaced by the Royal Docks Learning & Activity Center in 1968. We were established as a charity with the registration number 303176 since the London Borough of Newham and the Diocese of Chelmsford provided the majority of our funding. We started out as a youth centre, but over time, we broadened our scope by offering a wider range of services to the neighbourhood. Our charity was incorporated as a corporation limited by guarantee in 2001 and given the registration number 4061669.
Following stakeholder input, we changed our name to the Royal Docks Learning & Activity Center in 2010.
to lower levels of poverty and give assistance to those who need it most in order to improve the quality of life for all groups within the community.

to expand and strengthen the ability of the local population by giving them informational access and the chance to learn new skills, pursue training, and broaden their work opportunities.

to offer adults, children, solitary women, families, and elderly people high-quality support with the goal of raising their level of living by assisting them in taking advantage of new opportunities.
to interact with the community on all levels in order to address the agenda for social inclusion and community harmony.
to strengthen the center's reputation as a successful organisation that provides excellence in all facets of our work.
