Rocking Horse Nursery

After extensive renovations, I finally launched Rocking Horse on April 28, 2002, after moving into the structure in July 2001. Because of the magnificent old Rocking Horse in my nursery, I gave it the name Rocking Horse. From the beginning, the goal was to provide a welcoming environment that felt like home away from home where kids could spend their days playing and interacting with other kids while unknowingly developing cognitive and life skills for the future, but most importantly becoming more independent and sociable. I've always loved being outside, so I wanted to give all the kids in our care the freedom to walk, run, explore, and shout (if they want to) without worrying about getting looked at, or worse, shouted at. I had a fair grasp of the elements of the many nurseries my children had attended because I had spent the preceding 13 years travelling the world and seeing childcare in its varied forms in three different nations and six different locales. My real aim is that we can provide for, nurture, and care for your child in a manner similar to what you would want for yourself—or at the very least, come close.
