Red Wellies opened in June 2013 and is co-owned by Richard and Jo Stainsby.
With an expanding graduate workforce, a beautiful building set in extensive grounds and an externally accredited "advanced" award in nutrition, Red Wellies is continuing to thrive.
Our cosy baby room has its own outdoor area allowing the babies to play safely outside.
We have a separate sleep room for the babies and we try to make it a "home from home" environment.
Babies start their transition into the toddler room, once they become mobile and start to walk.
The adult-child ratio for under two years olds is one adult to three children.
The transition to the Tweenies room happens on or just before the children's second birthday.
The adult child ratio for 2 year olds is 1 adult to 4 children.
Children move into pre-school either the term after their third birthday or in some cases within the same term.
Four qualified teachers work in the Pre-School and all staff work hard to make sure that the children have a fun-filled and busy year performing Nativity plays, graduation ceremonies and an exhilarating sports day!

As a reception teacher of thirteen years herself, she knows exactly what the challenges of school life are!
Jo also leads the parent workshops and events, such as meetings on school readiness, phonics, fine motor control and number and maths Our Pre-School children are just amazing and we can't keep up with their learning!. Ever wondered what your child gets up to at nursery?

The nursery is located in the grounds of Foolpenny Hall, the building is perfect for little people to be looked after - it's secure and safe with beautiful grounds and a large car park.
