Red Roof Kids Club

Activities: Children make crispy cakes, go on bug hunts, water seeds, make dream catchers, and enjoy making fruit kebabs, decorating biscuits, playing with dough, mud, and sand.

Skills , Knowledge and Behavior: Children's personal, social, and emotional development is strongly focused on. They learn to cooperate as they play, and their language and communication skills are promoted through interesting conversations.

Communication: Staff use electronic and verbal methods of communication to help ensure that parents are well informed about their children's day.

Community Building: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, parents have not been able to enter the club. However, parents speak highly of the setting and say they are happy with the service provided.

Programs and Resources: Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities very well, providing individualised support and using visual prompts for communication.

Staff Training: Staff use a range of strategies to support children to manage their own behaviour well.

Welcoming and Professional Staff: The well-qualified staff have lovely relationships with the children in their care.

Safeguarding Training: All staff have completed safeguarding training and hold valid first-aid certificates.

Play and Learning Integration: Staff provide strong opportunities for children to develop their physical skills such as coordination by balancing on scooters and playing with hockey sticks and balls.

Diversity Management: Children are encouraged to find out about cultural events that are special to them or their friends.

Child Safety Management: Staff have a good awareness of how to keep children safe. They encourage children to move safely around the setting and conduct weekly fire drills.

Children's Safety and Security: Children are happy, safe, and secure.

Happiness and Settling: Children benefit from a secure daily routine which helps them to feel settled.

Nutritional Menu: Children enjoy a varied menu of healthy and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks.
