Rainbows End Pre School

This information pack is put together to help your first days run smoothly.
The children are split into five small groups and each child is allocated a Key Person.
The Key Person has special responsibility to settle the children in to pre-school, liaise with parents and keep records of the childs progress without overshadowing them.
You are able to comment on your childs learning through our online learning system, Tapestry, and can write a WOW voucher for special.
You will receive a weekly newsletter by email to keep you informed of whats going on at the pre-school in the following week and if there is anything we need from you.
Everything you bring in for your child must be named accordingly.
Spare Clothes: Please ensure you have seasonal spare clothes in your childs bag, including pants and socks.
Please drop off your child at 9.15am and collect at 12.15pm if staying for a morning session and between 2.30-2.45pm if the child stays all day.
ALL children are to be brought through the self-closing blue gate (to the left hand side of the building) and a member of staff will take your child from you at the side door, you will then proceed through the garden and out the other side gate.
No parents/carers are permitted inside the hall.
If you are dropping your child off for early drop at 9am please use the main hall entrance and costs 2 per child.
This is a first-come-first-served basis and if we are full then you will need to wait with your child, through the blue gate, until 9.15am.
To purchase the uniform, please complete an order form, found at the back of your welcome pack, and return, with payment, to the pre-school.
It is great to have uniform as it helps your child to know that they will be going to Rainbows that day, doesnt matter if it gets messy and it helps us to identify the children when out on trips.
In the event of an emergency, you will be contacted ASAP but the pre-school staff are responsible for your child until they have congregated at Ewhurst Infant School at the top of the hill and a register has been taken.
In the event of staff not being able to get to Rainbows due to adverse weather, then you will be contacted by 8.30am at the latest on the day of your childs session.
Power cuts arent usually a problem but if one occurs during a session and the Manager feels it is unsafe for the pre-school to be open, you will be contacted by telephone to collect your child ASAP.
