Rainbow Hill House Childcare was created by husband and wife, Nej and Linda Jemal, 24 years ago when they could not find the home from home environment they were looking for, for their own children, Deniz & Shanel.
Rainbow Hill House started as a small childminding business in Linda and Nejs own home.
Since then, our family-run nursery has proven to be very popular and has continued to blossom and develop even further.
Within our nursery we now have 4 dedicated rooms as well as a very unique soft play area.
We put great emphasis on developing the children's confidence, self-esteem and independence from the beginning of the settling in period by ensuring each unique child feels safe and secure when attending our nursery.
We have an excellent and very effective key-person system in place which supports each childs holistic development and enables children to explore their surroundings with confidence.
Our theme of the week is also chosen by considering the interests of the children (as well as celebrations of various cultures) and each day at nursery, the children are given the opportunity to participate in various exciting activities.
At the beginning and end of each day, parents and carers should expect a full verbal handover by their child's key person.
This is no problem at all and your child's key person will be more than happy to help!.
To update parents and carers throughout the day, we use a password protected website called fledglings which enables each childs key person to take photographs of the child on secured ipods and upload them to the website where parents and carers can gain access to view the regular updates.
We hold regular parent mornings to enable parents and carers to have longer discussions with their childs key person about their development.
Although we follow the EYFS to the highest standard, we have also improved and developed our own unique curriculum to ensure each individual child is able to experience and gain the best possible opportunities, preparing them for life in the modern world.
We are based in Bounds Green (N11 2UT) which is an ideal location due to our excellent links to public transport.
We feel strongly about continuing Jade Goody's legacy by encouraging mothers to attend their smear tests because children need their mothers!
To do this, we are offering one hour FREE CHILDCARE for all children in our community when their mothers need to attend a smear test appointment, (even if your child is not registered with us).
This is to encourage mothers to attend their smear test when they would otherwise miss it due to lack of childcare.
We put great emphasis on the outdoors, learning about the world around us and our local community by taking the children on regular trips to a number of places such as the library, park, garden centre, local farms and woods using public transport.
We are proud to be part of the TFL Stars which is an accreditation scheme to encourage and inspire children and their parents to think differently about travel and its impact on their health, well-being and the environment.
