Putteridge Community Nursery

Parents of the children that attend the nursery make up the committee that runs Putteridge Community Nursery. Despite the fact that we are housed on Putteridge Primary School's property, we are separate from the institution even though we are closely connected to it and have excellent assistance from it. Clare Bowling, who was most recently a Family Worker at the school, is our current Chair of Committee.
Every term, we hold committee meetings where we discuss every element of managing the nursery. Annual General Meetings are also held where new committee members can run for election. Because of our intimate bond with our parents, the people who use our facility have a significant influence on how it is run.
Our rules and procedures are influenced by those of the Early Years Alliance, of which we are also members, albeit we modify them to make them specific to our nursery. We are a registered charity with the Charity Commission, who also oversees our annual accounts.
In order to view their child's learning journey folder and speak with their child's key person, parents and caregivers are invited to our parent-teacher conferences. These are the perfect times to address any issues and share the growth and development of each child.
We hold a variety of fundraising events all year long, which enables us to give the kids new goods and equipment. We are constantly appreciative of parents' assistance at these occasions.
