All ordinary hosting accounts must adhere to the common hosting guidelines listed below. Please go to the hosting instructions email you received when you made your purchase for more detailed instructions on your web space, or sign in to your Control Panel. Please make sure that passive mode is selected in your FTP programme. This is frequently found in the connection dialogue box or preferences. Once connected, a web folder will appear; any files placed in this folder will be web-accessible. Please only upload files outside the web folder if you want your scripts to have access to them and no one else. Don't forget that your server expects to discover a page named index.htm or index.html as the first page (or index.php, index.asp, index.cgi etc. for dynamic sites). Our Support Center has comprehensive instructions on how to upload using an FTP client. Please be aware that you can upload files using the file manager in your Control Panel.
