Parents of children who were enrolled in the nursery met and decided to reopen as a playgroup.
The new organization's name was settled upon as Playlanders, and they started operating in April.
When the playgroup opened, Susan Lister, the current leader, had a child enrolled.
During the academic year, we are open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Children ages 2 and older have a choice of two or three morning sessions from 9.15 to 12.15, and after they've settled in, there's also the option of Lunch Club.
This group is known as Playgroup Plus.

Currently, we have 5 permanent employees and 30 spots for kids between the ages of 2 and 5.
During group activities, children cooperate with one another; they take turns using the slide and understand that we must share.
The behaviour of children is excellent.
To assist youngsters grasp expectations, adults carefully explain things in terms that young children can comprehend.
Children with learning disabilities or other disabilities, as well as those for whom English is a second language, can participate in a wide range of activities and improve on what they already know with the aid of appropriate solutions.

Before receiving an employment offer, every member of our staff is subject to a rigorous background investigation and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
All employees have received the necessary First Aid and safeguarding training.
In reality, the majority of our staff members are well known to us because they have either attended themselves as a child or have previously had children here.
Regular volunteers go through the same DBS and background checks as employees.
Rare volunteers (often parent assistants on a rota basis) are not required to obtain background checks, but they are never permitted to be alone with the kids.
Since 1978, Susan has been employed by Playlanders as the head teacher.
Cheryl has been employed with Playlanders since 2001 and is the Deputy Head.
Carla started out as a part-time employee in 2012 and was hired full-time in 2014.
