We nurture and support kids so they can develop their self-confidence.
Alison Owen founded the Pinner Tuition Center in 2006 with the goal of offering excellent math, English, and 11+ tutoring to kids in and around Pinner, Harrow, and Hillingdon.
Since then, children in the elementary and secondary age levels have received individualised instruction from Alison and her staff of trained teachers.
We can reinforce children's learning by employing the same instructional strategies that are employed in classrooms.
To enhance children's learning, we employ excellent resources that are in line with the National Curriculum.
Furthermore, thanks to our Ofsted registration, we are qualified to take childcare vouchers as payment for tuition.
In 1999, Alison earned her teaching credential.
She has worked as a class teacher and the coordinator of programmes for gifted and talented kids in a number of primary schools in Harrow.
Following her certification as a teacher, she developed a passion for working with dyslexic kids and enrolled in a postgraduate course at the Open University on Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). She has also taken a number of courses at The Institute of Education and University College London (UCL) on the use of technology in education, including using it outside of the classroom and the use of media and moving images to support English Language and Literacy.
