When Peter and Carolyn Bird and their son Harley decided to create a childcare school in June 2006, Norto5 KIDZ was born. Because Carolyn had extensive experience in childcare as a foster parent, a mother, and then as a childcare professional, this seemed to be a natural outcome of each of their skills. Harley has extensive IT knowledge, so he could develop all the management systems, and Peter is a Chartered Accountant, so he can handle the administration.
Since the program's beginning, we have concentrated on developing the systems, personnel, and processes to get the settings to the point where your kids are receiving the finest care possible in a safe and secure setting. Without interfering with the daycare providers' primary responsibility of engaging with the children, we think we now have one of the greatest methods for keeping tabs on the welfare of the kids. In the wonderful location of the pavilion at the sports grounds in Whitemans Green, Cuckfield, we were offered the chance to open a second school in 2008.
We are fortunate to have a group of passionate and devoted employees. In reality, Kim John, who oversees the schools' operational aspects, began as a parent there in 2006. The kids benefit from this stability because it helps them form relationships with the personnel. Most critically, we are fortunate to have a remarkable group of exceptional parents.
Childcare is a rewarding industry since we occasionally witness parents bringing their first child to the nursery with some trepidation. The youngster then develops and takes his or her first steps as we watch. Potty training follows, and before we know it, they are headed to high school.
