MOOSC at Emersons Green Primary School

The majority of the work we complete as part of our curriculum, in our opinion at Emersons Green Primary School, compliments the Fundamental British Values (as described by the Government as: Democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance). Student Council: Two kids from each year group make up our elected school council, which meets every two weeks to discuss ways to make our school better.
With the knowledge that they are in a secure and encouraging atmosphere at school, students are actively encouraged to make decisions.
As a school, we teach and set limits so that our students may make decisions securely. We do this by offering a secure setting and an empowering education.
Our pupils are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and are advised how to exercise these safely; examples of this can be clearly seen in our e-safety and P.S.H.E. lessons.
The school aim of Learning Together, Achieving Together, along with the schools motto Dream, Believe, Achieve has respect firmly at its core.
The students are aware of the importance of treating everyone with respect, no matter their differences from one another or the size of an object.
Emersons Green Primary School enhances pupils understanding of different faiths and beliefs through religious education studies; P.S.H.E. work and welcoming visitors from other schools and settings and enjoying a depth of study during themed weeks.
Beliefs, traditions and customs will be studied in depth, with visitors being invited in to our school to enrich and extend understanding.
