Montessori at Brook Green

We are in a specially constructed, well-lit room. Since we have exclusive use of the space, we can keep the kids' artwork on display without having to pack it away for other users. The construction area, book corner, and home corner are all adjustable and may be moved about to best fit the needs of the kids in the open classroom. Tables and chairs are mobile and can be relocated for puppet shows, dancing, games, and music. A covered space for use on rainy days, two playhouses, a willow tunnel, a sensory trail, flowerbeds, and a sizable sand pit are all included in the spacious garden, which is divided into two sections. Children are encouraged to use chalk to make marks on the paving stones, rake up leaves, or wash and line-dry dolls' clothes. In good weather, the kids can eat their packed lunches at the wide wooden table and benches. The garden is also where we hold our annual summer picnic and host outdoor sporting events.
