From the Mitcheldean Early Learners
At Mitcheldean Early Learners, we believe that children learn best through play and we adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Our goal is to provide a setting where each child feels valued for who they are, cared for, and inspired to care for others.
We make sure that each child's moral and spiritual growth is appropriately supported, and in order to do this, we provide them the information they need and the chance to express their own cultures and values while also understanding and respecting those of others.
Our purpose-built preschool facility, which is next to Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School, is open during the academic year.
There is an outside play area and a sizable, well-lit free play space at our preschool.
Children from all school catchment areas are eligible for spaces.
Starting at 8:30am, we provide an early start service.
For further details on the 2, 3, and 4-year-old grants that are available, kindly get in touch with us.
They provide up to 30 hours of free childcare per week for eligible 3 and 4 year olds, 15 hours per week for all 3 and 4 year olds, and free daycare for eligible 2 year olds for up to 15 hours per week.
On the 31st of August, 1st and 2nd of September, we have pre-school open days where appointments can be made.
An early help service will be discussed with the family when a child and/or family would benefit from support but do not satisfy the criteria for the Local Authority Social Care Team.
With your permission, the preschool will collaborate with parents or caregivers to identify any early intervention programmes that would be beneficial to your child or your unique situation. These services may include family support, food bank assistance, counselling, or parenting services.
The children's safety and wellness are our top priorities at Mitcheldean Early Learners.
We have a training programme in place to make sure that every member of staff is knowledgeable on policies pertaining to the care of young children.
