A brand-new Congregation, the Marian Missionary Sisters of the Poor, was founded to address the growing unmet needs of serving and assisting the world's poor, socially excluded, victimised, and lonely children and young adults.
The congregation's charism developed as a result of reflecting on Christ's exhortation to pay attention to what the world is telling us and to read the signs of the times.
The congregation's main goals are to provide its clients a fresh start, promote equality of opportunity, and provide them with demanding educational, behavioural, and other programmes so they can reach their full potential.
Members of our organisation strive to live the community life of prayer in conformity with the holy gospel and our bylaws.
to demonstrate Christ's mission of serving others and consistently carrying out the Father's wishes. (And his instruction: You fed me when I was hungry (Mt. 25:35-40) The life of Christ serves as the inspiration for our charism, which is compassion, love, and active service to the poor and needy. However, the son of man lacks a place to sleep.
Because of the congregation's charism, members are expected to respond to unmet needs and evolving issues in the context of the gospel.
The goal of the congregation is for its members to pursue perfection via their consecrated life by closely imitating Christ as He prays, proclaims the coming of the Kingdom of God, ministers to others, shares His life with them in the world, and always carries out the Father's plan (cf: Can.
Members are expected to strive for perfection through a life devoted to the apostolic ministries of sharing the gospel message through living exemplary lives, providing catechesis to spread the Catholic faith, and performing charitable works intended to lessen extreme poverty, pain, and suffering among the underprivileged and needy members of society.
Members should be sympathetic and able to engage reflexively in the lives of others, dismissing the discomfort of the urgent needs of the impoverished, motivated by the love of God, whose authority they perceive as deeply benevolent.
They should be selfless, sympathetic, and kind when aiding the underprivileged instead of being either imposing or avoidant.
counselling and assisting vulnerable, socially excluded, and disengaged kids, teens, and families.
Avoiding lukewarmness will help them maintain their spiritual strength because when it is diminished, the evangelistic essence of their job mission is depleted and is replaced with human essence.
They should work to maintain their passion for visiting the sick, lonely, and needy as well as their belief in providing material assistance as a group.
The Marian Mission for the Poor is a registered Charity that aims towards the development and provision of a range of meaningful quality services to meet the growing spiritual, emotional, social and educational needs of disabled, socially excluded children and young people.
We support disaffected children and those with learning and physical disabilities, mothers in need of childcare and families in crisis, including domestic violence as well as children in care, or those from separated or divorced parents in need of supervised contacts.
In accordance with the ideals of social inclusion and integration, we strive to create a broad-based, welcoming community that fosters each person's spiritual, social, intellectual, and cultural growth.
We always aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment that is well ordered and disciplined, giving room for collaboration and co-operation, reflecting the mutual trust and respect encouraged between everyone, both children and adults in the Centre.
