The nursery, which opened its doors in September 2004 under the name "Marlin Montessori Pre School and Day Nursery," changed its name to "Choo Choo Train Day Nursery" in January 2016 under new management. The nursery was lucky to have a very devoted and enthusiastic staff, the bulk of whom had been there since the beginning.
Our mission is to offer year-round childcare along with Montessori education to children from the age of 18 months until they enter school, meeting their developmental needs to the greatest possible degree.
We think that a child's early education serves as life preparation. In order to create a school community that is genuinely social and places the highest value on interpersonal interactions and skills, a holistic strategy that unifies the mind, body, and spirit must be used.
We have a strong commitment to Montessori education. We offer a setting where kids can grow in accordance with their unique needs, guided by their inherent curiosity and the careful direction of our skilled Montessori instructors. Self-discipline, self-confidence, and a capacity to concentrate are fostered in this supportive environment. Our research demonstrates that this kind of schooling instils in kids a genuine love of learning. We view childhood as a period of life preparation and as the cornerstone upon which everything that comes after it is constructed. We believe that a child's "who" is more significant than "what" they do throughout this period in terms of goals.
We take part in the government's funding programme (EYG), which offers support for 15 hours per week to qualifying 2 year olds and all 3 and 4 year olds. If you meet the requirements, you may also be eligible for 30 hours per week. If you require further information, kindly get in touch.
