We try to be as helpful as we can to all of our families, and one way we achieve this is by keeping our hours open later.
Except for bank holidays and the Christmas Week (from when we close on Christmas Eve to the second of January), our nurseries are open from 7.30 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday*.
Depending on availability, The Mama Bear's in Yeovil, Plymouth, Bradley Stoke, and Whiteladies Road (Clifton) open at 7 a.m.
To assist them adjust, it is advised that children who are going to attend nursery go on at least two familiarisation visits with a parent or caretaker.
While we strive to discourage kids from bringing their own toys, a teddy bear or blanket might occasionally be soothing in the first few days.
A staff member welcomes and releases each visitor to the nursery.
Unless the parent/carer gives permission, only people who have been pre-authorized will be able to pick up their kid from nursery.
We will phone you and ask that the kid be picked up if a child becomes ill during their nursery session and a temperature is detected.
If they are healthy enough to do so, they can go back to the nursery once the temperature has subsided.
We are pleased to give children who are teething or have just received early childhood vaccines Calpol during the childcare day.
When leaving off your kid at the nursery, deliver this to a staff member who will be clearly labelled with your child's name.
Prior to administration, staff will ask that a medicine paperwork be completed.
To assist stop the spread of infection, any child who has or develops an infectious illness must be kept at home.
Particularly, any youngster experiencing vomiting or diarrhoea must be kept at home for at least 48 hours until symptom-free.
If your kid is unable to come, do call the childcare before 9.30am.
Ask for a copy of our entire sickness policy or speak with the nursery manager for additional information.
A kid who has been sent home from childcare due to a fever will not be allowed back for another 24 hours.
The nursery does not give infant milk.
Upon arrival, any milk and food must be given to the manager for storage in the refrigerator.
Accidents can occur despite thorough risk studies and every attempt to eliminate hazards.
All of these occurrences are noted, followed up on, and reported back to the parent or caregiver, who is then required to sign an accident form.
Mama Bears Day Nursery Ltd. is insured for accidental bodily injury to third parties or damage to their property.
