From the Mains House Nursery
We are a modest, quaint daycare centre in the middle of Chester-le-Street.
We offer the greatest care and education possible for young children (0–5) in a welcoming environment where they are nourished and encouraged to realise their own unique potential.
We try to make starting nursery as joyful an experience as we can because we realise that it is a significant milestone for both you and your child.
I enjoy how diverse my job is, supporting both the nursery workers and the kids.
I have a strong belief in the value of early childhood education and like watching the kids grow.
Mains House Nursery is a unique setting where we collaborate directly with families to achieve remarkable results for our kids.
Since gaining my Level 3 Early Years Practitioner in Children's Care, Learning, and Development certification in 2007, I have been employed by Mains House Nursery for more than nine years.
I am the nursery's third-in-charge overall and the lead practitioner for 2-year-olds.
Because of how quickly they learn and how exciting it is to watch them advance to pre-school, where they develop into independent, assured learners prepared for school, I adore working with two-year-olds.
The Senior Practitioner in charge of the Caterpillar Room is me, Janine.
Before working at Mains House Nursery in 2016, I earned my BTEC National Certificate in Early Years in 2005 and acquired experience in different early childhood settings.
I enjoy working with our under 2-year-olds because we get to establish a rapport with the kids and their families right away.
We form close relationships with the children and enjoy watching them grow and develop as we work at the lowest employee to child ratio in the nursery, which is 1:3.
