Mrs. Smillie was born and raised in Lancashire before travelling to Liverpool to study French and Hispanic Studies.
She was appointed headmistress of Saint Martins School, Solihull, an independent school for girls ages 3 to 18, after completing her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in 2014.
Nicola is a fervent advocate for single sex education for girls and has vast experience running girls' schools.
Nicola is a member of the Girls School Association's Membership & Accreditation Committee and an ISI inspector.
In September 2020, she began serving as the headmistress of Alderley Edge School for Girls.
At the University of Leicester, Mrs. Wood earned a degree in geography.
After completing coursework in subjects as varied as Tsarist Russia, late mediaeval Italian history, and women's history, Mrs. Millar received a history degree from Nottingham University.
Prior to taking on the position of Schools Director of Studies in 2016, Catherine served as Head of Careers.
She relocated to Toronto, Canada, where she finished a Master of Business Administration in order to have the chance to travel more (MBA).
Following that, she moved to the Philippines, where she worked as a volunteer at the British School Manila.
After relocating to Vienna, Austria, Mrs. Bains obtained her certification as an EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher.
In 2012, after returning to the UK, she started working as a teacher in Year 2 at Alderley Edge School for Girls.
As the Integrated Curriculum Co-ordinator in the Junior School, she implemented the switch to an Integrated Curriculum for the foundation disciplines in 2013 after moving to Year 3.
She added science coordination in 2017 and took on the role of junior school's teaching and learning coordinator in 2019.
With a B.A. in English Literature and Applied Social Studies, which covered Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy, Mrs. Talbot received her degree from Keele University.
She came to Manchester after growing up in Staffordshire and worked for some of the top PR firms there, notably in their consumer PR departments.
She worked for ten years with some of the top companies in the nation, such as Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, and Littlewoods.
In January 2022, Mrs. Talbot began working as the Director of Marketing and Development at Alderley Edge School for Girls.
