The Little Stars Day Nursery at Longfield Academy is open 50 weeks out of the year and is closed for two full weeks during the holidays and Christmas.
On the grounds of Longfield Academy, there are two buildings.
Both our Day Nursery building and our cottage provide pre-school education for children between the ages of two and four.
St. Francis Primary School serves as the home of Little Stars Nursery School and Superstars After-School Club.
Little Stars' manager and owner is Laura Sanders.
In her leisure time, Laura lectures at Nottingham Trent University and volunteers her services as an EPA for the awarding organisation PEARSON.
Laura founded Little Stars in September 2012, initially operating out of Melton Mowbray's Sandy Lane Methodist Church.
Both of Laura's sons received the whole Little Stars Early Years Education.
Little Stars Day Nursery debuted in December 2014, followed by the opening of both structures in April 2015.
In October 2015, Little Stars started Little Stars Nursery School at St. Francis Primary School.
Laura shares her time between the Day Nursery, the Nursery School and occasionally working from home.
With her own two boys and more than 19 years of experience in the early years, Laura can offer her staff and parents a wealth of knowledge.
In addition to a highly skilled staff team, Laura has three deputy managers who help the nursery's operations while she is not there.
Laura frequently presents at early childhood conferences and gives lectures at a nearby university. She also regularly maintains the Little Stars Facebook page and lets everyone know about her exciting activities!
