All children will receive the best care and education available at Little Squirts, as is our commitment.
To make sure we are assisting families and children throughout the early years of education, we closely collaborate with the Early Years Support team at Central Bedfordshire and abide by the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Code of Practice's guidelines.

Children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years old can receive care and instruction at Little Squirts, a family-run facility in Flitwick.
Our key person policy helps our team at Little Squirts foster good relationships with children and their families, which aids in the early identification of any difficulties surrounding a child's growth and learning.
In the event that a kid has special requirements, she is educated to recognise them and collaborates closely with the family and other important individuals in the environment.
At Little Squirts, we understand the need of identifying any additional requirements a child may have as early as possible in order to make sure that every child can participate completely in the activities and enjoy what the environment has to offer.
To give the parent a true portrayal of the behaviours and concerns the setting has, the child's key person will have an initial talk with parents after conducting clear monitoring and documentation of what the concerns are.
This first discussion might help to determine whether there are any issues at home and whether the child behaves differently at home compared to the surroundings.
This is also a chance to talk about any early tactics that could help the child at home and in the environment.
An Early Years Advising teacher may be invited to the setting to assist with the assessment and advisory process, and a SEND support plan may be implemented.
When necessary, we will create a SEND support plan in collaboration with parents and as directed by the Early Years Support Team.
