Little Nippers Childcare Ltd

Independent daycare Little Nippers Childcare is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, for 51 weeks out of the year. We are an inclusive daycare centre for kids ages 0 to 5, and we provide free government-funded spots for kids ages 2, 3, and 4. Our most recent Ofsted report, dated May 2013, rated us as GOOD and gave high marks for the childcare we provide. Since we are a Plymouth City Council Open Doors Nursery, other settings are welcome to come see and talk about our outside spaces and our activity scheduling. We may also exchange best practises and pick up knowledge from the other Open Doors nurseries. We moved into an older home along the Ridgeway in September 2012, and it is situated just across from a free long-term parking lot. We provide a challenging curriculum that is taught by highly skilled employees in a setting with enough resources. The interior areas have undergone a complete renovation and remodel to create a serene, inspiring environment where all kids are inspired to realise their full potential. Our large outdoor area is divided into three separate areas for our younger children: a fully covered decked garden, a secure, enclosed garden, and a covered, free-flow area. Along with NVQ2 and trainee workers, each room is managed by a nursery nurse with NVQ3 certification. In the nursery, the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is being implemented under the supervision of a licenced primary teacher and early years professional.
