If you're unsure of what you're looking for, finding a day nursery that works for you and your child might be overwhelming. With the assistance of mothers who have been in your shoes, we have created a checklist! It covers the 15 key points to watch out for, but remember to follow your gut when you arrive and meet the personnel. Do the kids appear engaged when they're participating in activities and sitting down? How is the day organised, and what kinds of activities are scheduled? Exist any high-quality outdoor play spaces there? If so, how frequently do kids get access? How do the menus look? Do they contain a good mix of fresh (as opposed to canned) fruit and vegetables? How many kids do they currently have, and how many can they have at once? Where do the babies sleep during the day (ideally, the cribs should be placed away from the play area, although this is uncommon in nurseries due to space constraints)? How many of the employees are educated? Does the management actively participate? What is the notice time in the event that you have to leave the nursery? Do they take daycare vouchers, if your company provides you with them, and do they have places that are subsidised for three-year-olds?
