All About Me: This section provides a broad overview of your child's requirements, preferences, favourite toys and activities, etc.
This will make it easier for the key person and the nursery to set the proper routines for your child's care based on the knowledge they have about them.
Report on settling in: This is finished in four weeks to see how your child is settling in.
Wow Tree: We also have a Wow Tree where parents and other caregivers can share incredible stories about their kids with us.
The key person will use this information to organise activities and support your kid as they grow.
Learning via Play: At Little Leaf Nursery, we believe that the only way for kids to learn is through doing.
We watch your child every day as they participate in activities of their choosing.
We will then build activities to pique your child's interest further based on our observations of them.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS): We adhere to the EYFS, which establishes the requirements that all early childhood education and care providers must fulfil in order to guarantee that kids learn and develop effectively and are kept healthy and safe.
We make sure to include activities and experiences for kids based on the following areas of learning and development in our daily planning and assessment procedures.
Through opportunities to explore, observe, and learn about people, places, technology, and the environment, children can learn how to make sense of their physical surroundings and their community.
Providing chances and support for children to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through a variety of art, music, movement, dance, role-playing, design, and technology-based activities is a key component of expressive arts and design.
When a child is between 24 and 36 months old, we are required by the Early Years Foundation Stage to give parents and caregivers a brief written summary of their child's progress in the three main areas of learning and development - personal, social, and emotional development; physical development; and communication and language.
The check will be completed by your child's key person using data from ongoing observational assessments conducted as part of our routine practise, taking into consideration the opinions and contributions of parents and other experts.
