Indoor and Outdoor Facilities: The attention to detail in the planning and presentation of all areas of the pre-school, both inside and outside, is impressive.
Activities: They arrive in the morning with great anticipation and quickly engage in an excellent selection of activities.
Skills , Knowledge and Behavior: Children develop a strong awareness of mathematical concepts as they use resources, such as weighing scales, while playing with oats and other sensory materials. Children count freely in their play and develop an excellent awareness of numbers, calculation and value.
Communication: Parents highly commend the pre-school and the staff. They praise the way in which children are thoroughly prepared for starting school and how those who need extra help with their learning are fully supported.
Community Building: Children frequently spend time socialising with older members of the community. These opportunities significantly enrich children's life experiences and help them to fully understand the importance of respecting others.
Programs and Resources: Staff monitor children's development precisely, and swiftly recognise when further support may be needed. Extra help is quickly put in place with highly focused, targeted teaching and the involvement of other professionals, if needed. This means any gaps in children's learning close rapidly.
Welcoming and Professional Staff: The staff work together exceptionally well. They combine their wealth of experience, training and natural abilities to successfully foster children's love of learning.
Safeguarding Training: All staff are highly trained in safeguarding procedures and know exactly what to do if they are concerned about a child's welfare.

Transition to Primary School: The outstanding quality of teaching means children concentrate exceptionally well. They listen attentively for prolonged periods and socialise extremely well with their friends.
Diversity Management: Children develop an in-depth awareness of the needs of others and the importance of celebrating differences and similarities.
Child Safety Management: Staff are always exceptionally vigilant and supervise children closely. Rigorous risk assessments are completed for all outings and visits away from the pre-school to protect children from possible hazards.
Children's Safety and Security: Children's safety and well-being are given the highest priority.
Teaching Personal Safety: Children learn how to manage their behaviours and actions to keep themselves consistently safe. For example, when climbing trees, they recognise when they are not confident to climb any higher and self-regulate their own actions.
Happiness and Settling: As a result, children are seen to be extremely happy at the pre-school and they make rapid progress in their learning and development.
Nutritional Menu: In preparation for cookery activities, children walk to the village shop to select their ingredients. They handle money as they pay for their goods and demonstrate their impeccable behaviour.

The teaching provided at Little Chums Pre-Schools and Forest Schools is a special fusion of Forest schools and the inquisitive approach style of learning. In our lovely and distinctive surroundings, we strive to offer a wide range of chances and experiences to thrill and engage kids. Our preschool encourages learning through discovery and play by providing genuine, holistic resources, a wide range of experiences, and the wonder of curiosity. Through our Forest School programmes, we provide kids the ability to fully explore their surroundings and the natural world utilising all of their senses while also teaching them how to take care of our planet and our local community. Taking their sense of wonder outside allows them to learn and play in a serene, inviting setting while being inspired by nature. We want our kids to develop into persistent problem solvers who view obstacles with an open, optimistic mentality. Within the Little Chums family, we strive to create strong bonds based on mutual respect, trust, and support. To scaffold their learning and share in their amazement and awe, we pursue their interests. Our goal is to foster and nurture their innate curiosity as well as their creativity. To help them develop, mature, realise their full potential, and become a respected member of their community, we provide an example for language and behaviour. The first rung of the educational ladder is Little Chums. We shall do every effort to ensure that kids leave our care cheerful, confident, and eager to learn. We want them to sprint off to class. There are still spots available. Free spots for children ages 3 and 4.
