From the Little Acorns Childcare
In 2016, we launched our childminding business.
Emma Smith, a school teacher with a love of both teaching and learning, founded Little Acorns.
Little Acorns was so born.
Since then, Little Acorns has become increasingly successful!
Following the birth of her daughter, Louise Mullen, Emma's sister, joined the team in 2018. (Maddie).
We received an Ofsted rating of Outstanding Provider for our work as childminders.
Emma and Louise decided they wanted to be able to provide their daycare service to more families because there was a long waiting list for spots.
Therefore, Little Acorns reopened as a nursery in January 2019 and was located above Runamokka, a soft play area in the heart of Whitley Bay.
We received a Good Provider rating from Ofsted in 2021, which is a remarkable accomplishment for our very first nursery inspection.
