Sessions beginning at 12:15 pm require a packed lunch. Open exclusively throughout the school year. The Pre-school is managed by an experienced Play Leader (Yvonne Rolfe), who is aided by a deputy and a group of motivated, competent employees who routinely participate in training courses. Children are more prepared for starting school as a result, and we continue to collaborate effectively with the neighbourhood feeder schools. The Pre-school follows a set of standardised operating guidelines. A wide range of special requirements can be met, and equal opportunity is actively pushed. Each child is treated as an individual, and the group's ultimate goal is to enable kids to learn at their own pace by giving them as many stimulating opportunities as they can. To accomplish this, the group works closely with parents and caregivers, shares information with other early childhood educators with parents' permission, and offers as many stimulating and exciting opportunities as they can. We frequently invite speakers to go to places like the dentist or the emergency room. Parents are welcome to visit us and share their wisdom and experiences with us in this regard. We regularly engage in outdoor activities, and having the opportunity to go outside and breathe some fresh air is a crucial part of our day. We have a sizable, safe, and incredibly kid-friendly outside play area. The primary schools that are the next step after preschool have been certified as a "Healthy Promoting School," which promotes children's participation in regular physical activity and a healthy diet. We want to promote this concept to the kids before they get to school, so we provide them with plenty of physical activity, healthy snacks, and drinks. The Pre-school foyer has copies of our policies and procedures that pertain to parents, kids, and staff.
