Indoor and Outdoor Facilities: Staff provide a stimulating and inviting learning environment both indoors and outside. Older children enjoy making their own illustrations of dinosaurs after reading their book of the week. Babies explore an exciting range of sensory play, for example using water and sand, at a low level so that they can fully immerse themselves in their chosen play.
Activities: Children enjoy activities which support their growing interests. Staff talk and listen to children throughout the day. They use construction activities to talk about children's own ideas as they decide how to construct different buildings. Toddlers discuss taking turns as they fill moulds with sand and staff name ingredients as babies make their own pizza.
Skills , Knowledge and Behavior: Children's communication skills are well promoted in the language-rich environment. Older children enjoy sharing stories about dinosaurs and describe them as enormous. Babies learn new naming words as staff sensitively introduce new vocabulary.
Communication: Staff exchange information about children's daily activities, and parents provide information about their children's interests at home. Initial visits support children to settle into the setting.
Programs and Resources: Unique support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is excellent. Additional funding is thoughtfully spent to help children make good progress. For example, an extensive range of imaginative play resources enable children to re-enact familiar activities from home.
Staff Training: Staff are very well deployed to support children with SEND to take part in all activities in this extremely inclusive setting.
Welcoming and Professional Staff: Children and parents are warmly welcomed by staff, who take time to speak to parents who wish to share information. Children are well behaved, kind and considerate. Staff act swiftly and thread advice from involved professionals into individual plans. This creates continuity for children that has a significant impact on their progress.
Safeguarding Training: The manager and staff have a secure knowledge of child protection issues and wider safeguarding concerns. They know who to contact if they have a concern about a child's welfare or if an allegation is made about a colleague. Most have paediatric first-aid certificates.
Play and Learning Integration: Children make good progress in their learning and development as staff have high expectations of what they can achieve. Children enjoy activities which support their growing interests. They receive recognition for their achievements as staff value their progress.
Transition to Primary School: Children develop a can-do attitude, and they are curious, creative and eager to learn. For example, older children are determined to get to the top of a climbing wall, and toddlers persevere as they learn to throw and catch balls.
Child Safety Management: The manager provides staff with regular safeguarding quizzes to update their knowledge. The management team has good systems in place for the safe recruitment of staff to ensure that they are suitable to work at the nursery. Staff complete regular risk assessments to keep the environment safe and secure.
Children's Safety and Security: Children demonstrate that they feel safe and secure at nursery. They arrive happy and eager to enter the setting.
Happiness and Settling: Children have good bonds with staff, who offer lots of praise and encouragement. This enables children to feel confident and self-assured.
Nutritional Menu: The nursery provides children with healthy meals and snacks each day. Staff use meal and snack times as an opportunity to talk to children about the importance of eating healthily. Children gain independence skills as they serve themselves.

From the Incredible Kids (Derby) Limited
On the grounds of Derby's former Pride Park Day Nursery, entrepreneur and mother of six Samantha Corbin opened Incredible Kids in 2013.
Sam quickly expanded the Incredible Kids service by purchasing our Hilton location in 2014 and building a new Ashby in 2016.
The warm, interesting, and caring surroundings that have been developed for all of our Incredible Kids and staff members demonstrate Sam's enthusiasm for childcare.
Passionate We design spaces where kids can grow, parents can be proud, and staff members' enthusiasm for childcare can be shown.
All of our nurseries were specially constructed with large indoor and outdoor play areas for kids to explore, learn from, and have fun.
We build great partnerships with parent/caregivers and provide full-time and part-time places for kids between the ages of 0 and 5 years.
We recognise that young children need dependable, familar individuals to lean on for support, reassurance, and comfort, which is why the Key Person's position is crucial since they will collaborate with parents or other caregivers to provide continuity of care.
A Key Person must possess Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications.
At Incredible Kids Day Nurseries, we take great pride in our Key Person strategy, which involves assigning an experienced key person to each child who enrols in our nursery so that they will always have access to a dependable, accustomed adult.
It's a unique position that entails working with a small group of kids to reassure them that they are safe and cared for.
As we acknowledge that parents and caregivers are their children's most important teachers and collaborate with us to promote ongoing learning at home, the key person also develops strong relationships with them.
Our Key Person assists our infants and young children in becoming comfortable in their environments and in feeling secure there.
