Ilkley Preschool Playgroup

Due to the Ilkley Pre-School Playgroup's prime location in the heart of Ilkley, there are numerous fantastic attractions just outside our door. We frequently travel throughout the term. Even though some visits are impromptu, especially when the sun is shining, the majority are planned in preparation. We live right on the edge of the moors, and some of our most recent excursions have involved feeding the ducks at the Tarn, singing to elderly people in a nursing home, taking the train to Burley-in-Wharfedale, exploring Ilkley for the Children's Book Trail, and even stopping for a drink and a biscuit at Christ Church Caf! The benefit of our pre-location school's is that we can travel to these great locations without wearing out our young children's legs. We were quite visible in Ilkley while wearing our high visibility jackets, as you might have seen. It's good for kids to learn about their surroundings and the neighbourhood. When these mornings are, you'll be informed, and parents are welcome to join us. A specific adult-to-child ratio is required; one adult is responsible for watching over two kids (one on each hand!). Children, parents, and staff all love these excursions, and we frequently stop for a talk with members of the Ilkley community, which is always pleasant. We are really proud of our kids and think they are a great asset to our preschool.
