At Hexham Community Centre, we continuously work to develop a setting that will enhance and better the lives of our neighbourhood; a setting where everyone may feel appreciated and welcomed.
We want to play a part in creating a tight-knit community that we can all be proud of, where neighbours watch out for one another and extend support, assistance, and friendship.
Our building has had a colourful history over the years.
commissioned in 1899 and given the name Hexham Abbey Institute by Canon Savage, Hexham Abbey's rector at the time.
The building was given to the residents of Hexham in 1936, and a charity was established to help it carry out its mission of assisting the neighbourhood.
Hexham Community Centre is a vital asset to our community today and is still expanding and thriving.
With organisations and events, a preschool playgroup, room rentals, and business amenities, we assist the Hexham community.
We provide our community with support through a diverse range of events and services from our location in the heart of Hexham.
Our lovely community in Hexham's friendliness, generosity, and support have contributed greatly to our success throughout the years.
Without our devoted staff and super-hero team of outstanding volunteers who consistently donate their time, abilities, and knowledge to support us, Hexham Community Centre would be lost.
