A message from the Headteacher
Together with the staff and Governors may I warmly welcome you to Henry Allen Nursery School's website.
Henry Allen is a Nursery School for 2, 3 and 4 year olds situated in Amersham. We are a unique establishment in that we are a Nursery School. Henry Allen is part of the Growing Together Federation. A Federation with Bowerdean Nursery School and Mapledean Nursery School and Children's Centre. We have one governing body across all schools.
We believe that Henry Allen is a very special place to be. We pride ourselves in delivering the Early Years Curriculum from a purpose built building, providing high quality education delivered by qualified and highly skilled teachers, nursery nurses and support staff.
We understand that children thrive when learning through play, engaged in activities of their choice. We work hard to create an environment where children feel safe and confident and have access to numerous exciting and stimulating resources. We aim to develop the 'whole' child in an environment where children feel valued and respected. Staff are able to spend quality time with the children supporting them as they develop into confident and happy learners.
We understand that children achieve at a faster rate when there is a close partnership between home and school. We work hard to develop strong links with parents and carers to keep you well informed about the progress and well-being of your child.
We are extremely proud of our school and hope you will love it as much as we do!
Best wishes
