At Little Owls, we consider parent-teacher contact to be essential to fostering a child's development.
When your child joins school, we first offer you a home visit so that Parents may tell us everything about their child.
Without your child present, you can schedule a meeting with your child's key contact at a mutually agreeable time.
Each Parent receives access to Tapestry, our online learning journey, when their child enrols in our programme, where all observations and assessments are kept.
We can better understand your child's interests if you use Tapestry to share with us your child's experiences outside of Little Owls.
Every half term, all of the kids are given the designation of "focus child" for a week, and the staff devotes extra effort to tracking their development.
We then invite the parent(s) to participate in a progress check chat, which provides you the chance to speak with your kid's key person while they aren't around and to discuss their observations from home, combining them to create a picture of the whole child.
A meeting will be held to discuss the results of your child's statutory progress check if they are enrolled in our programme when they are two years old.
With your permission, we will also give your child's health visitor access to this progress report.
When your child leaves Little Owls, we have a handover conference with the receptionist at Haslingfield Primary School to discuss each child.
